Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with unique events across San Diego

Posted: Updated:

SAN DIEGO (NEWS 8) - St. Patrick’s Day is on Sunday which gives people the perfect excuse to start partying early and continue through the weekend.

If you are looking for a family friendly party, look no further than the Welk Resorts. The event will feature entertainment by Circus Mafia and The Killer Dueling Pianos. There will also be a pot of gold scavenger hunt, obstacle course, games and carnival rides.

They didn’t forget about adults! There will also be Irish-themed food, green beer, food trucks, and a full bar!

If you are looking for a more non-traditional way of celebrating, then why not attend a beer and cupcake tasting at Groundswell Brewing Company

The cupcakes will be baked by Daniela from Daniela’s Kitchen. If the name sounds familiar it is because she finished in the top 3 on Food Network’s Spring Baking Championship Season 3!

A $17 dollar ticket buys you 4 cupcakes and 4 beer tastings. The pairings include:

  • Apple Vanilla Custard Mini Cupcake paired with Know Ego
  • Chocolate Orange Grand Marnier Cupcake paired with White Guava
  • Whiskey Berry Mini Cupcake paired with Oath Breaker
  • Chocolate Guinness Baileys Cupcake paired with Cream Ale
