SAN DIEGO (NEWS 8) - One San Diegan is having a great day after winning the early bird Ronald McDonald House Raffle!

William A. McQuown had his name pulled which means he has the choice of a 2019 Porsche 911 Targa 4S, a trip to Europe and Asia by private jet, or $100,000!

The Dream House Raffle offers ticket holders a chance to win one of 1,000 prizes, including the guaranteed grand prize option of a multimillion-dollar Scripps Ranch home or up to $2.1 million, while also supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego.

San Diego’s Ronald McDonald House provides a “home away from home” that keeps families close to one another when they have a critically ill or injured child in a local hospital. Proceeds from the Dream House Raffle allow us to continue providing services – including lodging, meals and emotional support – that are crucial for guests.

Ticket purchasers also have the opportunity to buy an “add-on ticket” for the chance to win a weekly prize of $25,000 or one of eight premium prize packages. Ticket prices start at $150, but there are also discounted multi-ticket packages available. More information can be found here.

Morning Extra had a few residents of the Ronald McDonald House on set to talk about what the house has done for them. The Tulensa family came to San Diego from Hawaii and have been living at the house for 451 days after their newborn baby needed a heart transplant. Their little guy received his heart transplant on February 9th and doctors say he will need to stay for another six months.
