3rd Annual Hog Roast & Anniversary Party returns to celebrate local farmers

SAN DIEGO (NEWS 8) - San Diego is known for its great eats and its organic farm to table mindset. 

This year’s Hog Roast & Anniversary Party will take place at BIGA and will celebrate their 3rd anniversary. The event will celebrate local farmers, breweries, fishermen and chefs. It will also launch Farm to Fork week in San Diego where ONLY restaurants that fully subscribe to providing locally sourced meals participate in a Restaurant Week style menu. 

2019’s hog for the hog roast is coming from Stehly Organic Farms in San Diego. The featured chef is BIGA's Chef de Cuisine, Carlos Rodriguez. The other chefs preparing dishes at the event are:

  • Davin Waite of Wrench and Rodent
  • Johnny Dolan of The Lion's Share
  • Willy Eick of Mission Avenue Bar and Grill
  • Evan Cruz of Arterra

Baked goods will be provided by Kristianna Zabala of Split Bake House and drinks will be provided by:

  • Duck Foot Brewing Co.
  • Regal Wine Co.
  • Bivouac Ciderworks
