Archaeology speakers and activities coming to San Diego for ArchaeoCon

SAN DIEGO (NEWS 8) - Calling all archaeologists! San Diego will be the center of the archaeology universe on Saturday. 

ArchaeoCon is invading the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina Saturday, January 5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Archaeological Institute of America's convention will include small group workshops, an ancient game tournament, Q&A sessions with experts, and an activity fair packed with hands-on experiences, demonstrations, archaeology presentations.

Archaeologist, lecturer, author and National Geographic expert, Patrick Hunt dropped by Morning Extra to talk about the different activities at ArchaeoCon. 

Adult tickets to the convention cost $10 for general admission and can be purchased here.

The Archaeological Institute of America is celebrating its 140th anniversary in 2019.
