SAN DIEGO (NEWS 8) - For the 21st year, under the tutelage of professional chefs, the students of Garfield High School will be serving up the Garfield High School Thanksgiving Luncheon at The Prado in Balboa Park!

Students plan, prepare, and serve a sophisticated, white-tablecloth luncheon that raises approximately $250,000 per year for the alternative continuation school’s culinary arts program.

The program seeks to equip students with necessary skills and the confidence to seek future employment in the restaurant and hospitality industry.

Students are divided into “front of house” and “heart of the house” with every detail professionally executed to the meticulous standards of the Cohn Restaurant Group, led by The Prado Executive Chef Jonathan Hale.

The Thanksgiving Luncheon will be held on Thursday, November 15 at The Prado in Balboa Park from 11 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Ticket prices are:

  • $50 in advance
  • $60 at the door
  • $450 for a party of 10
