SAN DIEGO (NEWS 8) - Mission Ave Bar and Grill is giving more treats than tricks this year as they create special dishes for Nightmare on Mission.

Mission Ave Bar and Grill will be offering special dishes and activities on Halloween from 8 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. to raise money for local charity Casa de Amparo. Casa de Amparo works to prevent and treat child abuse in San Diego County.

Chef William Eick stopped by the studio Monday to give us a taste of the special plates offered on Halloween night. He cooked up Kruger's Crostini, a poached prawn, finger limes, mustard frills and tomato jam on sourdough bread. For the little ones, Chef William made dirt and worms, a brown topped with cookie crumbs, gummy worms, and a mint flavored gel. A caramel apple pork belly plate will also be offered, along with the regular menu

Along with yummy treats for all ages, there will be a costume contest with prizes for the winners. A live DJ will be playing music from 9 p.m. to midnight as well. This is an event for all ages. Please visit the Mission Ave. Bar and Grill website for more information.
