A $500 award will be given to first place, $250 for second, $100 for third and $100 for the people’s choice award, which we be voted on by event attendees.

The contest will be held in conjunction with the Pageant of the Monsters, which returns to Laguna Beach October 26, 27, 28 and 31 from 6 to 9:30 p.m.

In celebration of its 85th anniversary, Pageant of the Masters creative team and staff have reunited to transform its backstage areas into a haunted house.

The event also features Halloween themed art activities, music, sideshows, food, drink and other “spook-tacular” surprises.

Tickets are $15 for adults in advance ($20 at the door) and $10 for children 12 and under. This event is not recommended for children under 5.
