New Dunkin Donuts in El Cajon holding fundraiser for veterans

SAN DIEGO (NEWS 8) - Coffee and donuts were made to go together, but local Dunking Donuts are selling them for a great cause.

A new Dunkin Donuts franchise will open this week and to celebrate their grand opening they are hosting a fundraiser to help veterans and families of fallen heroes. 

The fundraiser will benefit the Travis Manion foundation. The foundation unites communities to strengthen America's national character by empowering veterans and families of fallen heroes to develop and lead future generations. At Saturday’s grand opening for the Dunkin Donuts in El Cajon, you can get customized Travis Manion Foundation Donuts where $1 from each custom donut sold at the El Cajon location will be donated to the foundation. In addition to the donuts, the first 100 people there will get FREE COFFEE FOR A YEAR!

Tali Burton, Dunkin Donuts Franchise owner and former Marine along with Heather Kelly from the Travis Manion Foundation joined Morning Extra to talk about this weekend’s event.
