ESCONDIDO (NEWS 8) - Two bodies were found in Escondido Thursday, one was found in a home, the other in a burned-out car, officials said.

Investigators confirm that the two deaths are related, but have yet to say who they are looking for as a suspect.

In the early morning hours in the 500 block of 11th Avenue, officers responded to a domestic dispute. When they made their way inside the home, they found a woman dead.

Then shortly before 4:30 a.m., firefighters responded to a report of a burning vehicle near the intersection of Kauana Loa and Country Club Drives, in the unincorporated area of Escondido, San Diego County sheriff's Lt. Karla Menzies said.

Crews discovered a body inside the vehicle once the fire was under control, Menzies said.

The plates on the burned vehicle are registered to a couple at the home in the 500 block of Escondido.

Investigators told CBS News 8 that there were two children found inside the house in Escondido and that the children are safe in police care.

No details about the victim were immediately available. No word of a suspect, motive or foul play.

Sheriff's deputies were investigating the incident.
