Everything You Need To Know About The San Diego Pride Parade And Festival

How would you like to join thousands of your closest friends at the city's best summer party? It's a chance to celebrate diversity, love and our LGBTQ Community. Each July, the San Diego Pride Parade attracts up to a quarter million people to Hillcrest, making it one of the largest pride parades in the nation.  For many, it is the one time a year that they can love and dance freely in the daylight.

The pride parade is free and open to anyone with an open mind and open heart. It kicks off this Saturday, July 14 in the heart of Hillcrest, but the music festival continues on, with four stages and more than 100 artists, including headliners TLC, Jojo and Graciela Beltran.

Executive Director Fernando Lopez joins our Laura Cavanaugh to talk about the humble origins of the parade, how it's grown into one of the largest and most popular San Diego summer events, and all the exciting details surrounding this year's San Diego pride parade and festival.
